What is your favourite chocolate inspired smoothie?

My favourite smoothie recipe is:

1 frozen banana

1 tablespoon peanut butter

1 teaspoon chia seeds

a small handful of spinach

a serve of protein powder and

Where does your recipe inspiration come from?

I love to combine my favourite flavours, like chocolate and peanut butter, to come up with recipes. Instagram is always inspiring me with new ideas too!


I’m vego and have always used soy milk for my smoothies, but how does almond milk compare nutritionally?

Almond milk, especially Almond Breeze, is generally lower in calories than soy milk, is higher in calcium and contains Vitamin E too! It’s a great alternative to soy milk – I love to use it on my porridge or in smoothies.


What is your favourite healthy snack to whip up?

I love to make raw desserts like bliss balls and raw caramel slice! Also making batches of granola to eat by the handful is a guilty pleasure.


How do you stay inspired to keep your diet healthy?

I have been doing it for so long that it is just second nature now. If you are trying to eat better, I think focussing on how it makes you feel is always a great motivator.


What is your go-to meal/snack when you haven’t prepped anything?

A piece of fruit or raw veg is always my go-to when I am not organised. An apple or carrot is a great option, even better with some peanut butter or hummus for dipping.


What’s your best tip for making baking healthier?

When it comes to baking I think just making a few simple switches can make all the difference! I always make sure I use wholemeal flour, spelt is my favourite. I also swap refined sugar for non-refined options like maple syrup and when possible, I love to swap dairy milk for almond milk to keep the calories lower.


I still find that I’m super hungry after having a smoothie for breakfast; do you have any tips on how to make it satisfying for longer?

To make a smoothie a complete meal I love to add in some protein powder, a handful of oats and always some nut butter for healthy fats.


I love my morning porridge! I assume almond milk is fine to heat up? Would love some porridge recipe inspo J

Yep! I even warm up almond milk for hot chocolates and it works perfectly.  Cooking porridge in almond milk with a pinch of cinnamon, topped with maple syrup and berries is a staple in my breakfast routine.
