BERRY NICE TRIFLE

INGREDIENTS

 

• 24 ladyfingers
• 1/3 cup orange juice
• 2 cups berries
• 2 cups cream, whipped
• 1 cup of strawberries for decoration

Custard
• 4 eggs
• ½ cup sugar
• 3 cups Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze
• 3 tbsp custard powder
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

METHOD

 

1. Lay the ladyfingers in a large bowl to create a sponge base and cover with orange juice
2. To make the custard, beat eggs and slowly add in sugar
3. To the custard mixture add in Almond Breeze, custard power and vanilla extract. Mix until combined
4. Heat the custard mixture over medium to low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon
5. Keep stirring for 10 minutes until custard thickens. Let cool before using
6. Once custard is cool, stir in berries and pour over the sponge base
7. Chill in fridge for two hours
8. Top with whipped cream and decorate with fruit
